“Birdability Friendly”

Presented by Joe Mocate and Hailey Hubanks 

Joe and Hailey will be introducing the audience to the exciting concept of  Birdiability Friendlly Field Trips and other Bay County Audubon Events.   “Birdability Friendly” describes an outdoor space, trail, or birding outing that is welcoming, inclusive, and accessible for people with disabilities, health concerns, or mobility challenges.  Thanks to modern technology birding by sound, mobile phone accessibiliy tools, birding is becoming availble to a broad new audience.  National Audubon has designated October 19 through 25, 2026 as Birdability Week.  Online and ongoing events during Birdability Week will be announced on the National Audubon.org  and on the Birdability.org websites.  Joe and Hailey will discuss and elaborate on our local effort to promote birdability.  This should be an intriguing and inspiring presentation.  The presentation will begin at 7:00 pm following our traditional social time beginning at 6:30.
