Camp Helen State Park Monthly Bird Count. Saturday,Sept. 26th, 2026

 Camp Helen Bird  Monthly Bird Count This eBird hotspot features monthly surveys sponsored by Lake Powell Community Alliance and local park rangers hosting bird counts on the last Saturday of every month.  Over 200 species have been identified at Camp Helen including several rare species.  During late spring and summer months, emperiled Snowy Plovers and Least Terns nest along Phillips Inlet and adjacent beaches. The event is beginner-friendly and offers park access before it officially opens.  Often birders are rewarded with a beautiful sunrise and early rising song birds.
