September Membership Meeting - Sep 13 - St. Andrews Bay: Diverse Life of the Bay by
Sea Grant Agent Steve Theberge will speak on habitats and animals of St. Andrews Bay
October Membership Meeting - Oct 11 - Alan Knothe will present - Pine Flatwoods and Savannahs – the pine flatwoods and savannahs ecosystem is one of the most biologically rich systems in North America. Learn about the amazing plants and animals found here and how they interact.
November Membership Meeting - Nov 8 - Jeff Gore's program on Mice in the Dunes: ecology and conservation of beach mice in Florida - Introduction to one of the most secretive and endangered animals in northwest Florida. The program will present some of the natural history of beach mice, discuss the impacts of storms and development, and describe a 2010 reintroduction of beach mice to a portion of their former range on Perdido Key.
December Membership Meeting - Dec 13 - Holiday Social. Bring your favorite holiday goodies to share.
January Membership Meeting - Jan 10 - Roz Kilcollins will give us some insight into sharks with - Shark Awareness: Learn about common species, life history and biology, how to avoid conflicts with sharks, frequently asked questions. Shark items will be on display.
February Membership Meeting - Feb 14 - go with us on a travel to The Best Of Ghana - A West African Destination Like No Other – Bay County Audubon Societies’ own Tony Menart takes use on a video journey through western Africa. Get a firsthand look at the spectacular avifauna of this amazing part of the Dark Continent.
March Membership Meeting - Mar 14 - The Wildlife of Central America - FWC biologist Dr. John Himes will illustrate the amazing flora (amphibians and reptiles especially) of Honduras, Costa Rica, and Panama, and the spectacular landscapes in which they occur.
April Membership Meeting - Apr 11 - in our own backyard come and see a Photo Naturalist’s View of the Birds of the Apalachicola Estuary – See our local birds through the lens of a true local artist, photo naturalist John Spohrer. This talk will focus on the colorful avifauna that call Apalachicola Bay their home.
May Membership Meeting - May 9 - banquet and annual review featuring awards to be given for Conservationist of the Year, and election and installation of the Officers for the coming year. The dinner will cost $10.00 per person and is to be catered by Los Antojitos.
The meeting will start at 6:30 PM for this special occasion.
